Welcome To The SCUBA Stop!

Our philosophy is simple:

To create an international SCUBA diving community were we can get all the latest news and information, meet new people, discuss things related to diving, all in a friendly, but not over-moderated, atmosphere.

We think you'll find there is no other place out there quite like The SCUBA Stop! We created this site in response to a real lack of SCUBA diving sites where a person could get all the information in one place on a stable environment.

There are a number of things that set us apart and make our site different from the other diving sites you may have been on:
  • The focus here is SCUBA Diving! Unlike some sites where it's difficult to find the signal in all the noise, you'll have no trouble talking about diving here.
  • Professional Management! The managers of this community are all avid divers and professionals. Our background includes instructors and technical divers, as well as computer professionals who know how to keep a community running. Our software is always kept up to date and secure.
  • Features you can't find together any where else! No other SCUBA diving site contains the comprehensive features you'll find here:
    • The latest SCUBA diving news and articles from around the globe
    • SCUBA diving and dive travel articles and editorials
    • A working directory of SCUBA diving web sites with over 3000 links
    • A growing dive site database, complete with GPS positions and over 500 sites
    • Instructor listings from over the globe, so you can find the right instructor for the right training.
    • A gallery of scuba diving images from all over the globe
    • Friendly discussions! This is your community, you set the direction.
We here at The SCUBA Stop hope you enjoy your stay with us!

St Croix
Travel Spotlight: St. Croix
Beautiful Saint Croix Island, located in the tropical Caribbean Sea just 1,200 miles off the Miami coast, is the largest land body in the United States Virgin Islands. Long, peaceful beaches, sugar and rum plantations shape the landscape. Homes, historic churches, commercial ports and plantations boast architecture dating as far back as the early eighteenth and nineteenth century and reflecting Spanish, Dutch, French, Danish, British, Knights of Malta and American influences. Thriving sugar crops gave way to tourism in the late 1960s as the islands primary source of income. So you.re sure to be treated like royalty.

The biggest of the US virgin islands is best explored from the town of Christiansted. Colonial development of the Virgin Islands is commemorated by the 18th and the 19th century structures in the heart of the capital of the former Danish West Indies on St. Croix Island.
